Fade Away

If what you say is true with good intentions,

then you cannot regret your mentions.

If what you feel is bound to your heart and soul,

then you cannot feel you’ve lost your role.

If what you hear derives from a soft, sweet hum,

then you must believe your time has come.

Close your eyes and fade away,

keeping everything else at bay.

Everything that’s not in you.

Anything that’ll stop what you need to do.

Accept that it’s your time, your time to share

A thing that will show us all you care.

For among the greatest things to give

is wisdom you collect as you live.

So close your eyes and fade away,

please tell us the truths you have to say.
