Last night, Fox aired the 14th Annual Teen Choice Awards where tweens, teens, and adults reliving their golden years can rejoice and enjoy entertainment. The youngsters of show biz all came out on the pink carpet to accept awards, give awards, perform, and to just look pretty… and that they did. Besides the major wins for The Vampire Diaries cast and the “As Long As You Love Me” performance by JB and Big Sean, the never-ending fashion is what kept me watching the TCAs. It’s summer, it was the Teen Choice Awards, and I’m so glad that the stars got that memo. I was thoroughly loving the colors, the sparkle, and the fun choices, so now onto my favorites.
Kat Graham and Selena Gomez made me proud with their bright color choices and sexy styles. Kat represented short girls everywhere with her body hugging mini dress and very high heels. The colorful print against her skin and dark hair made her look like an Amazonian princess and I was loving it. Add in the to die for heels with the perfect make-up and Kat definitely got my vote for best dressed. Selena Gomez came in a close second for best dressed hands down. No bold print for Selena, but the hot pink was plenty. The cut of the dress itself flattered her body well with a sexy yet sweet essence to it. (Don’t ask me how that works… it just does.) The whole look was accented with nude heels, a gold bracelet, and pin straight hair. Some pink lips and a smokey eye put it all together for a beautiful day on the carpet.
In the world of glitz and glam, Hayden Panettiere and Lea Michele brought their A game. Hayden stood out on the pink carpet with a short, purple-sequined number. The ruffle at the hem was a nice detail, in my opinion, and I appreciate the fact that Hayden kept the rest simple. You don’t need much with a dress that bold, so kudos for that. Lea also wore a dress that definitely spoke for itself, so she kept the rest low-key. She surely chose to show off her sex appeal in a silver strapless mini. Some texture, peplum accents, and a nice tan completed the look.
The boys didn’t seem intimidated by the pink carpet either and a few of them certainly brought their best. Jackson Rathbone stole my heart in a casual yet chic ensemble. A pair of dark jeans, a button up with his sleeves rolled up, and a few accessories was all Jackson needed for the TCAs and I couldn’t agree more. He gave off a very relaxed and youthful vibe, which I think is perfect for this kind of event. Colton Haynes also showed his finest side with an elegant blazer paired with a funky yellow shirt. Someone definitely embraced the idea that these award shows are meant to be enjoyed!
As always, there were a few honorable mentions that I couldn’t leave behind. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi got cutest couple in my book, while No Doubt didn’t lose their fashion sense during their hiatus. I was loving Victoria Justice’s bold high-low dress and it was nice to see Taylor Swift in her classic attire.
