Survivor- Destiny’s Child

I was recently watching Beyonce perform and, amongst her hits as a solo artist, she also did a number of classic Destiny’s Child songs.  As she reminded me of how much I loved the girl group from back in the day, I couldn’t help but remember my appreciation for Beyonce herself, as well.  I thought back to when I used to know all of the words to nearly every song Beyonce, Kelly, and Michelle put out and I remembered how positive their music was in general.  With songs like “Independent Women,” “Bootylicious,” and, of course, “Survivor,” Destiny’s Child was able to empower their fans worldwide and to give them the encouragement that was often lacking in the entertainment industry.  I certainly identified with DC’s music back then and their lyrics still hit home.  Recently, I’ve definitely began to revive my love for the R&B vocals that defined a large part of my childhood, so, to celebrate this, I decided to share with you all the unforgettable single “Survivor.”  Enjoy!
