Before Anything Else

You need to know who you are
and what you’re made of
before you think about why you’re here
and how you’re going to do things.
You are the foundation.
You need to be solid and secure.
If you don’t realize that,
then it’ll all fall apart.
Nothing you begin will last.
Nothing you work on will be real.
Nothing with your name will be you.
You must discover yourself
before exploring your possibilities.
You must identify your limits
before accessing your potential.
You must know yourself
before anything else.
