Resurrection

Standard

.

The hate wants to conquer me.

The darkness wants to spread within.

An anger boils inside,

but I can’t give in.

Past all the black caves and each empty hole

shines a light so white

enough to brighten my soul.

I’ve fallen and tripped,

nearly settling with defeat,

but I’ve risen each time,

knowing this evil is one I can beat.

So, like the times before,

I’ll ignore temptation and look toward the light.

I’ll prosper, resurrected,

till the darkness is no longer in sight.
