Tricky Vision

Hindsight is twenty-twenty

that’s for sure.

But foresight?

Now that’s a bigger blur.

I told you so and I knew it

is all you hear,

but only after you just blew it.

Good advice and warnings

always come after the fact,

when decisions have been made

and it’s too late to go back.

If the repercussions were so obvious,

then why couldn’t you just say it

and be honest?

you were wearing the same glasses I had on.

you were fooled by the very same con.

I know you want to say you saw it coming

and you weren’t surprised,

but I know it’s your want to be right

that’s feeding me lies.

But I know he got you.

I know you believed him, too.
